Best day riding in 16 years!

"Had an awesome day riding with Miguel, possibly the best day riding I've had in the past 16ish years I've been riding!

WE rode all around Sintra which has an awesome network of very varied trails from flowy trails to technical rock gardens. Not only did Miguel show us around but he also continued riding with us after a crash which would have ended my day! When your guide manages to get 3 flats and a broken nose - yet you still had the best day I think you can safely say it's a pretty special place to ride and an awesome guide - Miguel even drove us back to our Airbnb in Lisbon.

Oh, and the rental bikes were awesome and great value for money.
If you want to go riding near Lisbon you can't go wrong with these guys!"

WE started up the hill with breathtaking views to reach the top of the ridge and then descend amazing tracks until the very end, and then start all over again. WECAMPS Algarve - Bike Skills with Anders Kielland

"Participated in a WECAMPS in Algarve over 7 days. This is most likely the smartest thing I have ever done in my biking carrier. I have trail biked every week for years, therefore I was surprised to see how much I still could learn. The course were well adapted to my needs and goals. The instructors was genuinely interested in teaching and had the necessary skill to do it. The course contained multiple aspect of biking as bike set-up, position on bike, trail to downhill tracks, pump tracks, bike specific warm-up and stretching routines and more. This company take their job very seriously. I can highly recommend them."

Escape from miserable British winter again!!

The bike was ace once we'd sorted the setup and Duarte set a great pace both up and down, while showing off more style than I could ever hope to possess - a great rider to follow, and the trails and locations WE visited were both stunning and tested my abilities perfectly. I was sore like hell the next morning, so big success.

Rock'n Rome riding in Sintra

"Ich bin beruflich in Lissabon gewesen und wollte ursprünglich mein eigenes Bike mitbringen. Allerdings musste ich es schweren Herzens aufgrund von "technischen Problemen" kurzfristig doch Zuhause lassen. Also habe ich vor Ort nach einer Lösung gesucht, damit ich wenigstens mal von der süßen Frucht portugiesischer Trails kosten konnte. Eine Freundin hat mir die Empfehlung zu WERIDE ausgesprochen. Und dann ging es ganz schnell... 
Eine Email, Hugo hat sofort geantwortet und mir alles organisiert. Das Bike was ich ohnehin schon lang mal testen wollte (Banshee Rune V2), Helm, Schoner und sogar Hose und Handschuhe. Ich habe nämlich sicherheitshalber mal alles daheim gelassen :-)(als Leihbikes gibt es übrigens auch Devinci und Transition). 
Also habe ich mich an zur vereinbarten Zeit am vereinbarten Treffpunkt mit dem Guide Miguel (sehr sympathisch) getroffen, welcher alles mitgebracht hat und konnten pünktlich (nur wir beide) starten. Das Wetter hat auch super mitgespielt. 
Die Trailausbeute war der Wahnsinn. Unglaublich vielseitig, sowohl vom Charakter der Trails (technisch, schnell, felsig, erdig/ sandig, Sprünge, Drops, usw.) als auch was die Landschaft betrifft."

"Vormittags sind wir alles selber pedaliert, bis wir uns zum Mittagessen mit einer anderen kleinen Gruppe (ein schweiz-österreichisches Pärchen mit Guide, auch alle super nett) im Refúgio do Ciclista getroffen haben. Da diese Kleingruppe mit Shuttle unterwegs war konnten wir uns dort am Nachmittag anschließen und konnten noch einige tolle trails genießen. 
Doch das Highlight kam zum Schluss. Der Donkey Trail bis ans Meer... Das war der krönende Abschluss für einen pervers geilen Bike-Tag.

From 'Net' to the Mountains

"I'm a very passionate mountain biker that came to Lisbon for the WebSummit. I booked a full day ride in the Sintra mountains with WERIDE including a top end mountain bike. The service was amazing from pick-up until drop-off. Hugo picked me up at my AirBnB in Lisbon and took me to Miguel who was going to be my guide for the ride. 

As I travel a lot and always try to find a local guide or company that can show me the local trails and rent me a bike, I've seen a lot. Servies and levels vary a lot, especially on the rental bikes. Not so here. WERIDE only have top end bikes that are in superb condition. I didn't have to adjust anything at all. The bike was like tailor made for me. 

Miguel took took me for a great 40km ride up and down the Sintra Mountains on Enduro/DH style trails. WE took a lunch break at a great local restaurant were I had freshly charcoal grilled Mackerel and a beer. What a treat! WE then climbed back up to the top and descended all the way down to the beach surrounded by a breathtaking scenery. 

Hugo and Miguel are very skilled riders and have been involved in building and maintaining several of trails in Sintra. They know this area (and Portugal in general) like the palm of their hands. I warmly recommend anybody who loves mountain biking (regardless of their skill-level) to hit the trails with WERIDE. They are simply Pro's, very friendly and attentive. I wold have loved to do the magical Lisbon by Night Ride as well but I ran out of time on this trip.

I am definitely coming back !"
